Abstract

|
This study examines the reasons and effects of the phenomena of the low fertility utilizing the annual data in Korea. The determinants of the fertility rate as a result of the regression analysis are, age of the first marriage, economic crisis, real GDP, unemployment rate, prices of the residential apartment, number of the childcare facility, education level and government policy. This study suggests several policy proposals based on the regression analysis.
